No matter how much we know, our organization can not push legislation unless we can all work together. That starts at the Chapter level. Here are some useful handouts we have picked up over the years.
Chapter
• Presidents - This was a handout at the ABATE Seminar.
• Officers - This was a handout, I'm not sure from where.
• Safety Month - This needs to be started 6 months or so a head of time.
• Promoting - Getting your information out through radio, TV, and papers.
• Press Release - How to do a proper Press Release
• Making a Flyer - This came out of the ABATE of Indiana Guide book.
Legislation
• Grass-Roots - Every Chapter needs to use the Grass-Roots approach.
• A Letter Writer's Guide to Congress - Used to be in the Blue Book.
• Legislative Coordinator Duties - Created in 1990 but still applies.
• Legislative Advice - Handout from ABATE.
